Our soil

The soil type at Treeton Estate is forest gravel loam, which is prominent throughout the Margaret River wine region.

The soil at Treeton Estate promotes deep root growth and has high soil temperatures that stimulate vine vigor and fruit quality.

The ridge that runs down the centre of the property is capped by hard, silica-rich laterite.  Covered by intact native forest, the rock and vegetation acts as both filter and reservoir for water that seeps through the soil and rock to keep our vineyard naturally watered throughout the year.
