Cowaramup
One of the great holiday destinations of the world, Margaret River is perhaps Australia’s best spot to kick back and unwind, surrounded by nature, beautiful vineyards and glorious coastline, including some of WA’s best surf and beaches.
Named by the Aborigines after the purple crowned lorikeet, Cowara, that once inhabited the area, Cowaramup is an ideal base to tour the area.
Retaining a more relaxed feel than its increasingly cosmopolitan neighbor, Margaret River, the town provides a great base for travelling the quiet local roads to sample the wines, beer and food of the region.
Local accomodation ranges from Farmstays, where visitors can experience the day-to-day activities on the farm, to 5-star bed and breakfasts where they can just sit back and relax.
Treeton Estate is next door to the award-winning Cowaramup Brewery, which offers beer on tap and casual food.
